David Saint-Jacques, the Canadian astronaut who was the focus of my SKIES MAGAZINE feature article about the selection and training of astronauts for missions to the International Space Station (ISS) and beyond, has just launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Baikonur, Kazakhstan. He is scheduled to live and work aboard the ISS until June 20, 2019 – just over 6 months; when returning at that time, he would hold the record for the longest-running mission that a Canadian has flown in space.
Please enjoy some of my images from the days leading up to (and including) the launch, and watch for videos and other outreach activities to follow in the time that he is aboard the ISS.
